A restoration development of the main farmhouse and 8 existing barns for a private developer, situated in an area of A.O.N.B. The main farmhouse was to be kept by the client and the barns to be sold as open market dwellings with parking to the quad. The site location is a five minute walk to Exmouth beach.
Due to the age of the building the team faced various challenges that were overcome with the implementation of supervisory systems and depth of carpentry knowledge.
We worked closely with the builder, client and design teams to achieve the end goal. The removal of the original carpentry works began with certain elements left for design purposes. A huge amount of different carpentry skills were applied to the site, ranging from Parallel Beam Roofing that showed the exposed truss work, Timber Stud Walling, Soft/Hardwood Flooring, Staircases, Internal Doors, External Doors & Linings, Skirting, Architraves, Decorative Mouldings, Kitchen Fit-Outs, timber panelling to the walls and box sash window shutters.
