Are you looking for a carpentry apprenticeship with an experienced and reliable company?
An apprenticeship is a great way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience at the same time. A site carpentry apprenticeship will last two or three years, depending on the level of qualification you study for. This will be structured between onsite work and college-based learning.
During this time, you will use timber products to create and install building components. Normally working on a building site, or in domestic and commercial premises, preparing and fixing building components; from the initial erection of a new building, through to the installation of all necessary fixtures and fittings, as well as a range of repair and maintenance activities.
Study will be consisting mainly of one day a week at college for two or three years, depending on your qualification choice. During this time, you will undergo practical assessments and on-line exams.
You will work on site for the other four working days each week, where you will have to complete a series of work-based assessments and gather evidence for your portfolio.
During your apprenticeship Payne Carpentry will provide you with all the learning support you need. By helping you at every stage we feel this allows you to enjoy and excel in your chosen career path.
Apprenticeships are open to school leavers and adult learners too. You need to be a minimum of 16 years old and training is free if you are between 16 and 18. There is no maximum age limit an apprentice can be.
You will need to meet the entry requirements, having a GCSE Maths and English at grade C/3 or above (or can demonstrate a suitable level of competence in these subjects).
